Haadd awarded Aaron a Joseph Umbrico Bursary to support his journey as a drummer. Dear friends, “just because” is a short documentary about a trip that my mom and I took to Tobago for the Muhtadi Drum Festival, and my journey as a drummer. Muhtadi is a master drummer and I have learned a lot of rhythms from him over the past 4 years. I always feel good when I drum, and I enjoy performing in front of an audience. The Haadd bursary made a long time dream of traveling to the Caribbean possible. I am now working on a second documentary about what it`s like to go back to school and continue my education.
